Is there really much of a difference between 1800s capitalism and slavery?

It's interesting that you bring up slavery. At least with slavery there is a chance of becoming free. With systems like Socialism, it's impossible to free yourself from being a slave to the government. No matter how successful you become, they will always be there taking your money and restricting your choices.
