Eye help: am I blind?

I went to the ophthalmologist yesterday after an eye injury in my soccer game. They gave me a dose of pediatric eye dilation fluid and instructed me that in 4-6 hours...my pupil size (extremely large from the drops) would return back to normal. It's been 12 hours + now, and my pupil is still non-reactive. What the hell went wrong? What should I do beside making another appointment for my doctor.
