Are the conservatives and Republicans on the right track?

They have successfully have Obama defending every steps he takes, re writing speeches..They have brought their party from depths to now they have middle america holding town meetings for Obamas decisions..They were ousted but now seem to be the moral center...Has the country forgotten how we got here?
