Can I be blamed for his depression?

My husband found out he's beeen depressed no motivation stopped showering doing anything but go to work compllain he was " sick" and just lay around watching tv don't do anytthing with our 7 and 8 yr old won't bond or quality time. Hes seenn a therapiist 2 times she channged. His meds I asked him to do dishes while I was gonna paint the shutters. Arrgument ensued he throws a remote at me and called me and the kids mfs. They heard it. I'm leaving I tried to talk rationally about me leaving and he brings up I'm the reason he is depressed. Is there any justification for blaming me for a chemical imbalance ? I have to know because I said I will not be blamed for his mental illness. His father called him an mf when he was my kids age. I'm not staying around for generations to repeat itself.
