Help finding title of a movie.?

I have a foggy memory of this movie about an indestructible dog, that breaks in a house where a little girl and her mother and father live (or so i think they were her parents). The man tries to shoot and kill the dog but it won't die. They run out the house and escape threw a window, the lady and little girl run onto the road where she puts the little girl in a sewer. The man tries to trick the dog to fall him done a slope where he can't get back up. The dog kills the woman and she lies there above the crying child dripping blood into the sewer. The man takes his daughter out and then head out for help. Put a log on the road so that a truck must pull over and move it out the way. They jump in the back, anf then the dog starts to follow them. So whats the name of this movie?
